ABOUT EVENTS

Event Fee: $2000 for any event with tent(s), caterers or that exceeds t exceeds 18 people at Ocean’s Gem.  This includes those staying at the house, those in the wedding party etc. The maximum number of people at an event at Sandpiper or Pelican is 60.  The max at Ocean’s Gem is 40.  This includes those staying at the house & those in the wedding party.

Tents: are allowed (except at Ocean’s Gem) if pre planned with the landscaper to avoid puncturing the sprinkler system.

Rental fee: Events require a one week rental at the full house rental fee. (i.e. you cannot rent 4 bedrooms)

Reducing the Event fee:  The event fee is reduced to $1000 if your party rents one of my other homes during the event.  It is eliminated completely if your group rents both of my other houses for your event

Rentals are Saturday to Saturday:  We make exceptions to the Saturday to Saturday rental days from last half of October through March (except when that would conflict with a major holiday)

Event Limit:  One event per rental week

Beach Weddings: Wedding ceremonies that will be preformed on the beach require a permit from the Town of Hilton Head Island. To apply for a permit, you must submit the Wedding Ceremony on the Beach Request Form which includes the Time, Date, Location, duration, number of expected guests and any other information that may be relevant. Palmetto Dunes Rules

Palmetto Dunes (where my Ocean’s Gem home is located) has very restrictive rules .  Click here for Preregistration Form

Palmetto Dunes has extensive restrictions:  no outdoor lighting, tents, speakers etc.  They prefer you to use their venue for your event:  http://www.palmettodunes.com/hilton-head-island-weddings.php  But if you follow their rules, you can do it on the beach at the house

Most brides chose to have the wedding on the beach and walk back to the house for the reception.

Kathleen and Destination Vacations went above and beyond to ensure our

wedding and stay for the week were memorable, which it was. The house was

exactly as advertised and the views/pics were fantastic. The elevator was

especially helpful for our elderly parents and loading/unloading. We would

absolutely rent this house again the next time we visit HHI.
